Application Timeline Owl Darin
Darin is a ladies man. He knows what to say to get a smile out of girls (and the not so occasional snog). He likes to play around, avoiding getting into serious relationships and spending a lot of his free time getting into trouble and pranking with his twin, Taylor. Darin knows when to take situations seriously though and can step back and make a mature decision if it’s really and truly called for. He has a huge big brother complex and is generally quite protective of the people he cares for. Darin’s not afraid of getting into a fight if it’s justified; he won’t sit by and take abuse of himself or his friends.
Darin is extremely self-confident. He knows what he’s good at and what he’s not and he plays to his strengths. He’s incredibly loyal to his friends and family and would do just about anything to defend them. Because of this, he’s realized he wants to be an Auror and now has something to shoot for (which is good because motivation is the key to being serious when so many other things are asking to be done).
He works hard in his classes. If they’re difficult, then at least they’re a means to an end. He has an affinity for Defense and also excels at Charms. He took Muggle Studies through fifth year but dropped it after OWLs since he wasn’t really learning anything new and Auror requirements make for a heavy class load as it is.
Just because Darin can take things seriously doesn’t mean he always does. In fact, particularly in regard to relationships, he’s really bad about not taking things serious enough. He avoids complications and commitment, dabbling in dating every so often before remembering that he doesn’t like to be stuck in any one place.
Darin is horrible at Herbology; if he so much as looks at a plant it’s liable to die or bite him. He dropped that and History of Magic at the first opportunity. Unfortunately he had to keep Potions, which is his primary academic nemesis at present.

Darin is a halfblood; his mother is a witch who works at St. Mungo's, and his father is a respected lawyer in muggle London. He grew up in the muggle world with his parents, his twin brother, Taylor, and his little sister, Anya. He's also pretty close to his cousins, Nico, Kiriaki (now deceased) and Theophania.
